Cane Parkway

Let’s go back years ago. Cane Parkway us to be a pathway at one time. When Mulock was widen to 2 lanes, Cane Parkway was to be resurfaced and was to be extended to Andrew Street as a by-pass to take some of the traffic off of Mulock. This was crazy.  My dad was the one in instrumental in stopping Cane Parkway from going all the way through to Andrew. That’s why it ends at Lorne. With the help of Bob Scott and vision of Ray Twinney this did not happen, thankfully. Thus Fairy Lake Park was built in future years. Through his efforts and myself we got it done to one lane and parking on the southeast side.  Why do you think I am there recording the speeding on that road;  there use to be drag racing on there at one time. Second, got the flashing red light there too, see below.

To tell the truth, it will be resurfaced sometime next year, it has it pros & cons.  Water & Sewage work needs to be done first underneath road.  Upper York Sewage Solutions is looking at expanding the area for a storm pond which has not been finalized yet. There is also work done on the whole Tom Taylor Trail to Bayview Parkway. Meanwhile if you speed you will be caught!  That’s the truth to folks!
